A MESSAGE FROM TRISHA:

Do you feel like the life you currently live doesn’t meet your own expectations or standards? Maybe you have tried all that you can think of, you’ve talked to the people in your life, and yet you still can’t create change that sticks? You’re not alone. Once we realize that our current

way of living no longer serves us, that can often be our catalyst for change. I believe our feelings and intuition can teach us a lot about ourselves, our relationships to others, and how we want to navigate the world. But first we have to be willing to sit with these feelings and truly listen to what they’re telling us. Change is a difficult task to attempt in systems that are built to maintain themselves. These systems in place need us to stay the same for their own homeostasis; Family, school, employment, community groups, healthcare, government, etc. All of these systems need us to work within them for them to function properly, butwhen their rules and ideals don’t serve our individual needs there becomes a rupture. We have to ask ourselves, who do I prioritize, myself or these groups? Change comes when one is open to the belief that by choosing to prioritize growing in their own self awareness they can show up better and on their own terms in the systems and communities they are a part of. Many people struggle with identifying their emotions outside of the binary of joy and anger, love and fear. However, there is wide-range of emotions that trigger the reactions we have to our circumstances and I believe our emotions often, but not always, guide our behaviors.

As a therapist, it is my role to help you learn your emotional patterns, the thoughts that contribute to and affirm these feelings, and the behaviors that occur because of them. With this insight we can work together to identify what coping skills worked in the past, still continue to work, and what no longer serves you. We will explore this all together through integration of understanding the different dimensions of wellness in your life. I incorporate somatic and mindful techniques to better help you get grounded as you explore your life history, purpose, and goals. As a therapist, I hold space that what you are working with started before you and not all of it may end with you, but I honor the beauty of becoming more aware, accepting, and empowered through this journey of self exploration.
